I tried a pizza recipe from this wonderful lady's blog the other day. Then husband & I went to Tesco and buy all the items that are not in the kitchen and one of them is Yeast (mauripan). Being a person who's expert in masak maggie goreng or maggie kuah and other dishes like sambal goreng and sayur goreng, I dont know how yeast or mauripan look like. Then we saw a baking powder on the rack, I asked husband if this is the thing and he confidently said yes. To confirm it, I called the sales asst. and asked whether mauripan and baking powder are the same thing. Si sales asst. ni pun mengiyakannye and suggested Nona brand to me.

As soon as I reached home, tanpa melengahkan waktu I prepared all the ingredients and its actually so simple that even my niece Alya can do it! Then there's one part it says I have to put the dough aside after mixing all the ingredients and wait until the dough double it size. I waited for almost 20minutes and the size jangan nak kate double, besar sikit pun tidak.

I started to worried and go on with the preparation like sprinkle the sausages and other filling and immediately put the nice looking pizza (at that time) in the oven.

I kept on checking the pizza while it was in the oven and the base stays at the original size. I waited until the base look yellowish and the toppings started to overcooked before I take it out from the oven. It looked ok its just that the base sangatlah keras macam biskut lutut. Tangan suamiku sampai sakit2 mase nak potong pizza tu nak-nak lagi gune pisau potong bawang tu! Bile makan, the taste was just ok, I know how to improve on the tomato paste etc but I am still wondering why the base is so hard!

So the next day, while driving back home tibe-tibe rase macam nak buat kuih donat. So I called mak to ask her how to do it. Mak said you have to have mauripan bla..bla..bla...then I asked her, "baking powder tu mauripan ke mak?" Mak cakap "Ade ke pulak, mauripan tu ibu roti, yis tu!" "Laaaa...patutlah pizza orang tak jadi!!" eeeeeeeee... malunye!!

The thing is, I'm 28 years old this year and going to have my second child in few month and due to my ignorance to cook regularly, mauripan/yeast dengan tepung penaik pun tak tau??!!! Seriously I need to really play my role as a married woman. ;(

Last Saturday, while making up my daughter's hair she asked me:
"Mummy, ni pengantin eh."
"A'ah, ni pengantin la ni.." I answered.

Since then, she asked everybody to call her pengantin. If anyone call her adik ke, kakak dada ke, emelda ke she will correct them by saying "pengantin lah!".

And then on Monday, suddenly she decided to call herself baby. Again, when people in the house called her something else she will correct us by saying "ni baby lah!"

Tak taula nak cakap ape, she has hundreds of questions for us to answer now and she will repeat the same question if she's not satisfied with the answer that we gave her. She's a talking machine now. The other day at the bank, MIL told me she repeated everytime they announce the queuing number, with the same tone!

What's sweet about her is that, whenever she sees my big belly, she will kiss or hug and said "sayaaanggg baby". She also will talk to the baby and kadang-kadang siap nak salam lg dgn baby ;).

A lot of things I actually want to write but maybe later. And a huge number of photos too. I'll find the right time!

While that, photos of my mak nenek.

Ok tu je!
